Vintage Ethic Bird Tie, 1960s Wide Necktie featuring a , Peruvian, , or South American theme.
This is a beautiful tie with a textured woven fabric in burgundy and black. This tie has a slubbed feeling weave and features an image of a bird. I haven't been able to identify the type of bird, or find the image online, but it looks like a phoenix or peacock to me.
There are no tags on this tie, and I am unsure of what the fabric content is. Does not feel like wool - almost feels like linen, but it doesn't wrinkle easily so its likely polyester or a polyester blend. There are no condition issues with this tie, though, and it's a really fun way to spice up your work wardrobe.
The tie measures 53" long and 4" across at the widest point. Today's standard ties are about 58" long (pants are worn lower now). This seems longer than a childs tie but shorter than even the older ties.
