50's/60's Hand Made Yellow and Red Silk Heavily Embroidered Ceremonial Wedding Kimono

A vintage vibrant yellow and bold red color silk collectable Japanese ceremonial wedding kimono. This one of a kind handcrafted fabulous museum quality ceremonial piece in pure silk with intricate detailed hand-embroidery throughout accented with floral gold and silver lame threads work that depicts botanical and bird motifs... all of the traditional symbols of prosperity and auspiciousness. It was cut very long with heavy padded hems ( to hold the robe outward in the back as the bride walks). This piece has stunning large embroidered designs spwarling all across the the front and back of the kimono in bright, lively, vibrant colors. It is very dramatic and long, as mentioned above, because it is meant to trail on the floor and is protected by the padded hem. The Uchikake is another wedding kimono a girl will wear during her wedding, like the Shirokakeshita. It has a small hand stitched tag inside with the artists signature.

You can display this collectible piece as art / decor. The Japanese traditionally use a special kimono rack for display but you can simply hand it over a rod or a pole. You can also select to frame the kimono (this one is beautiful enough to display showing the front and/or the back!). Or you can wear this piece of art - to your wedding - or wherever you wish to make a true fashion statement!
