40s Satin Dragon Kimono$375.00
1940s Satin Dragon Kimono, Asian Style Hostess Robe
Materials: Satin Acetate/Nylon
Brand / Maker: unknown
Era: 1940s
A stunning mint green and cream satin dragon kimono from the 1940s. The dimensional metallic gold embroidered dragons and pagoda scene are made by hand, the front is much more plain with minimal gold cloud embroidery. Fully lined and in beautiful condition, the shoulders and back have a lighter faded ombre effect in the ground which is subtle and lovely. An elegant duster, hostess dress, or formal event outfit when tied with a sash. Shown here over a lacy romper - unpinned. Wear wide palazzo pants and ballet flats to complete the look!
Much of the thread is metallic, and the heads have padding underneath the stitches that make them very dimensional. The threads include the couching technique and are silver, gold, red, cream, and black with great details.
