This authentic Japanese kimono was 'cherry-picked' from a sale of kimonos & qi pao pieces. This piece, above all, utilized the finest fabrics: 100% silk liners and exterior. The outside silk fabric is a deep, blood red and gold weave, featuring natural silk slubs throughout (slubs are a result of less-processed silk thread) and a gorgeous luster with light iridescence. The lining fabrics are a combo of a lower, brick red-orange color silk and a super thin and lightweight cream silk at upper area (similar to a crepeline fabric). Given the weight of the fabrics, I would guess that this traditional kimono would've been worn in warmer weather. There are no labels or maker's marks, however it's easy to see that the entire garment was hand-stitched throughout. Condition is excellent, perhaps worn once or twice by original owner, as there is some very light and small soiling at the inner sleeve/cuff and one teeny tiny hole at back lining. Please review photographs for full details.
Please note: this is an authentic kimono, therefor the length is very long, as it is traditionally meant to be worn with geta or zori style shoes
