Vintage Halston Swimsuit, 1970s Backless One Piece with Deep Plunge Neckline and Tie Waist Detail, Size XS-S. 1977 Bathing Suit by Halston, in red and white, SUPER sexy. This swimsuit seems to be modeled after the 1976 "Savage" version. The original was made of one continuous piece of fabric, which comes down the front, is passed through the legs, wrapped around the waist, and tied to fit. This version has a "complete" bottom, and the "ties" at the waist are mostly decorative. The halter neck is tied to fit as well.
There are no condition issues with this piece, the elastic is in great shape with tons of stretch. There are no stains or signs of wear. This is such an unusual and unique piece! I love how it leaves the back completely bare. With the sparse coverage on the front, this may be best for a smaller busted person.
This is marked size 12. The model is a modern size 6.
I am not providing a bust measurement, for obvious reasons. The piece that passes over the breast is about 6" across. It can stretch to about 9" across, but as it ties up around the neck, there is going to be a natural vertical stretch already.

This measures about 30" and stretches to 40" at the hips. Back rise is about 12".
Leg opening measures from 19"-28" around.
Model is 5'11" tall, and measures 34" bust, 27" waist, and 37" hips. Model has a longer than average torso. It was a bit snug but fit securely (no "wardrobe malfunctions", so to speak).
