Vintage Black Lace Bed Jacket, Finely Crocheted Lace Duster Top in a Style; Romantic Gothic Victorian Spider Web Lace

There are no tags on this; so there is no brand, size, or fiber content noted. This seems as though it must have been hand crocheted. There are no seams in the body, only at the armholes; and the lace is intricate and fine. This came from an estate that had clothing from the Victorian era through the 1970s. I believe this particular piece is from the 1930s based on style and construction. This has been hand washed, and had an excessive amount of color bleed (but is still black) so I recommend hand washing it alone or with like colors, in cold water. The yarn feels like it could be cotton, and it is very fine.

This has no front closures at all, and it would probably be best with a tie or pin added to keep the neckline closed. This is shown on a size small model. Based on the fit of the armholes and shoulder width this is likely best for a size extra small or small.
