Vintage Sheer Black Blouse with Metallic Gold Peacock Design and High Ruffled Neck, Size S-M.
I love this vintage and handmade blouse! Sheer gauzy black fabric is printed with an extra fine gold metallic glitter, with peacocks all over this blouse. Its a boxy cut with short puffed sleeves, and a high pleated collar with a band of metallic gold ric rac around it. I thought this was pretty cute when I found it - but when I put it on and tucked it into a high waisted skirt, I fell in love!
The only tag reads "Fashioned by Alba Escobar". So, no size or fiber content. The fabric felt like a super thin polyester at first - but when I put it on to model it, I didn't feel hot, even under the photo lights. I did a burn test and I believe that this is actually cotton! Super fine and thin and gauzy.
The only flaw I found is a TINY hole on the right shoulder, but it's been reinforced already. I showed a picture of it in photos, its SO small.
I recommend hand washing this, only because I don't know how the glitter would hold up over extended years of machine washing.
Model wears a size 6 top, and this blouse measures like a modern small to medium. Could possibly fit a large, but I worry that arm movement may be a bit tight. For best fit, please compare the measurements below to your own, or to the size chart of a brand that fits you well.
