Vintage Rubber Rain Boots 60s Molded Rubber Boots with Tromp L'oeil Design Detail, Kitschy Go Go Boots Sz 6$59.00
1960s Rubber Boots, Sherpa Lined Boots with Tromp L'oeil Design, Kitschy Go Go Style Boots, Cold Molded Rubber Heeled Boots
These boots are so amazing! Ugly, but amazing. They are completely molded rubber boots - heel and all! - with a faux sheepskin lining to keep your feet toasty. There are zippers up the inner leg of each boot to make them easier to get on and off. These boots have a sort of faux "shoe" design embossed and printed on them. I am sure back in their day, they were an eyesore - but honestly, I just find them so fabulous now. I think these would make a killer addition to a style wardrobe!
I did not find any cracks or tears to the rubber. I twisted them up quite a bit and everything seems stable and flexible, no dry rot. The inner lining is a little torn at one zipper, but as long as you keep it out of the zipper it doesn't impact wear. The inner sole is a little worn too, but it doesn't impact wear. You may also choose to replace the insole.
The bottom of the shoe is marked size 6. My feet are a 10, so I have no way of knowing if these are true to size. Based on measurements, they do seem to be accurately sized.
The inner footbed measures 9" long (a size 6 is 8. 75") and the ball of the foot measures about 3. 25" across. The heel is 1 3/8" tall, and the shaft is 13. 5" (starting from the sole of the foot, not the bottom of the heel). These hit around the widest part of the calf, and measure 13. 5" around the opening.
There are scuffs and some color wear, and a little bit of wear to the edges of the heels. All shown in photos.
