Vintage Cherry Red Chiffon Nightgown & Robe Set, 1960s Nylon Chiffon Peignoir and Nightie Size S
Gorgeous two piece set by Warners, from the 1960s. This is a very dark pink-red color and the nightgown has a lovely silhouette. Fitted bust done in sheer red lace over two layers of sheer nylon chiffon. From just under the bust flows a nylon underskirt beneath a floaty layer of sheer chiffon.
The second part of the set is a robe made of two layers of sheer chiffon topped with lace at the neckline. Short cap sleeves made of that same red lace, and three buttons close the gown at the top, but it's open from the chest down.
Absolutely divine babydoll style robe over a slightly sexy nightie.
The robe is marked size small, the nightie is marked size 32. The nightie has a band of elastic under the bust, and the bust is shaped with some darts, giving it a more fitted appearance than most nighties. Definitely an occasion piece - wear it for your honeymoon, Valentine's Day, a romantic getaway weekend - or just for yourself when you want to feel luxurious.
