Vintage Cotton Fit and Flare Dress, 1960s Sleeveless Dress Hand Dyed Purple, Size Small
Gorgeous little cotton dress was originally a blush pink but it had discoloration from years of being poorly stored. I gave her a bath in a combination of fuchsia and purple dye, and I love the way she came out!
Fitted through the bust and waist, and then flares out to a full skirt from there. The fabric has a soft sheen to it, and its such a pretty piece for summer. A flattering cut and happy color.
No lining except through the "ribcage" area of the dress. There were originally decorative buttons sewn down the front, and the dark thread that was used has left a shadow of discoloration that was not covered up by the dye - but its still subtle.
This was dyed by hand so there may be small inconsistencies in the dye, but it looks pretty even. Dress has a metal zipper up the back.
