Vintage Needlecraft Project Tote, 1960s Zipper Case for WIP Projects
This is a great vintage tote for needlepoint, quilting, crochet, knitting, etc. The bag is an elongated tote with a zipper closure around 3 sides and a top handle. The bag opens fully and reveals all sorts of organizational pockets and sleeves. There is one large pocket for instruction books etc. There are some smaller pockets that look like they are good for thread, packs of pins, maybe some scissors? There is a little "book" of felt pieces that are meant to stick needles into as shown. And then there are tons of long sleeves that look like they are meant to hold knitting needles or maybe thin skeins of yarn, or even rolls of fabric?
I am gonna be honest, I can't find a match to this, but it came with a sewing needle in the felt, and with a paper insert from a needlepoint project. So it makes sense somehow, but i am sure it has a more specific use than I can figure out.
Personally, I think this also makes a fantastic laptop bag. Its a little bit padded and all these little sleeves can be great for holding charging cords.
This is in pristine condition and seems to have never been used. Measures 17" long, 10" wide, and about 2" deep. The little "sleeves" each measure 5" long and about 1. 5" wide and are open on both ends.
