Vintage Purple and Gold Hostess Gown, 1960s Metallic Paisley Evening Dress, Size XS-S
This is an amazing and completely kitschy vintage hostess dress from the 60's. A sheer purple fabric with a golden, large-print paisley border, and covered in woven paisley leaves of gold metallic thread. It is amazing!

This maxi dress has a lovely formed collar, long sheer sleeves, a fitted and embellished waist, and it all makes a fabulous swishy sound when you move.

The dress is backed with a lighter purple satin type fabric, possibly acetate. This dress has no tags, so there is no content information (or brand or size).

There is a long metal zipper up the center of the back, and the cuffs have 3 snap closures each.

The only condition issues with the dress are some discolorations of the lining in the bodice - lightened armpits and some staining that looks like it may be from a hanger.

The measurements indicate that this is equivalent to a modern size XS-S, or 2-4. Shown on a size small / 6 model, but its a wee bit snug. For best fit, please compare the measurements below to your own, or to the size chart of a brand that fits you well.
