Vintage Fuchsia Slip Dress, Mid Century Sheer Lace Nightie in Hot Pink, size XS; Sheer lace over semi-sheer nylon. This slip was hand dyed, so color distribution may be uneven.

Beautiful piece from the 1960s, this smaller slip does have some minor wear, but it is still in very wearable condition! The slip was initially white, but had a pink stain (color bleed from something else?) that I was unable to remove. As a result, I decided to try my hand at dying, and I think this came out wonderfully! The slip was initially soaked a few times to be treated for the stain. After the dying, the slip was washed by hand to remove excess color, and then machine washed in a load of other dyed items as a secondary wash to remove any leftover dye. I would recommend washing this by hand or with like colors for the first time or two, so that you are confident it will not discolor other clothing items.

The tag is marked Aristocraft by Superior, and Made in USA. It shows the size as being marked 32, and the fabric content as nylon, rayon, and acetate.

The slip has no rips or holes, and no stains (now that I dyed over it, haha!). The lace rolls inward slightly at the V of the bust, and sometimes the straps. There was once a belt with this (likely just a long nylon string or ribbon) but it is missing. Belt loops can be snipped off quite easily.

I would wear this as a dress with another slip underneath. With heels in the summer; or with tights, boots, and a denim jacket in the fall. This IS sheer, and model photos have been edited for modesty (if you catch my drift).

Slip measurements were typically based on bust size. This is a pullover style, so you must also have a bit of give to get this on. This is shown on a size small model, and is marked size 32, so the equivalent of an extra small.
