Vintage Coin Belt, Guatemalan Coins Chain Style Belt, Silver Toned Coin Belt Size XS-L
style chain belt is made of 1 Real Guatemalan coins from the early 1900s. The coins are made of copper and nickel, and are stamped with various dates, the latest being 1912. These are real coins, but this currency was demonetized in 1924. These coins all have holes punched in them, though the holes were plugged. The coins have been mounted on rings, and the rings are all joined together. There is a hook at one end, and the hook can be placed at any of the rings along the way.
Super fun or styled piece. I am not positive of when this was made, but its got a super 60s or 70s vibe to it. There are 41 coins total, and this will fit a waist or hip up to 37" around.
Because of the way the coins are mounted, this is not even a very noisy belt, as they don't clank against each other when worn. Belt and coins have great patina.
In my opinion, a chain belt is one of the most versatile pieces to have for a vintage style wardrobe. Instant eclectic and flair for any outfit. Western, , artsy, witchy, , traveler styles.
