Vintage Floral Robe, 1970s Lightweight Bathrobe with Button Front and Waist Tie, Size S-M.
Beautiful pastel floral print robe from the 60s or 70s. Super lightweight fabric feels like polyester or maybe cotton poly blend and is semi-sheer. Baby pink covered with spring pastel flowers. The robe has pearlized plastic buttons down the front, ruffled half sleeves, and a waist tie that is "invisible" in the back (or front, if you prefer).
The robe has a small buttonhole type of opening on either side of the waist for the thin tie to pass through. Either the front or the back of the tie would run on the inside of the robe. This keeps the robe cinched in the front but loose looking in the back. You can reverse it if you like, and have the front look loose with the back more cinched if you prefer.
The sleeves on this are so sweet, half sleeves with a lace trimmed ruffle at the bottom. The floral print is more subtle at the top and more dense at the bottom.
I think this is even really lovely worn as a dress, but you would need to layer it (or wear flesh tone underwear, or maybe wear this as a poolside cover up?).
