Vintage Cotton Day Dress 50s Gingham House Dress with Pockets Size S$60.00
Vintage Cotton Day Dress, 1950s Gingham Print Dress with Button Front Bodice, Pockets, and Floral Applique Detail, Size Small
Pretty cotton day dress from the mid century era has a shirt dress style top and a full skirt with large pleats. There are two pockets hidden within the pleats in the front. Button front bodice with V neckline and a collar. The dress has a black and white gingham print, and the bodice has some white screen printed (or painted?) stripes up either side. The left shoulder has a leafy design outlined in black embroidery. It gives off an applique type of feel, but it's more like its been lightly painted and stitched.
The dress is missing a belt, and it has some small holes in the left sleeve shoulder - shown in photos. There is no tag in this beauty any longer.
The hem is pretty wide and could be let down if desired.
Overall, a really pretty and simple piece to wear during the summer for running errands or being casually pretty.
No size marked. Measures like a modern size small and is shown on a size small model. Model is 5'11" tall.
