Vintage Full Slip, Mid Century Blush Pink Rayon Nightgown from the 40s or 50s. Smooth, cool rayon slides like liquid silk. The lace on this is gorgeous quality.
The sleepwear and lingerie of this era was so glamorous. This pink rayon piece has a lace panel down the center of the chest, which is flanked by small pleats for the bodice, to help give fullness. The bodice is topped with more lace which is repeated again at the bottom, before the ruffle.
This piece is by Powers Model and the tag indicates the rayon content as well as a size 14-34. The measurements of this gown put this at a modern size 6-8, but this could go to maybe a 10 at most, and it is shown on a size small (6) model. I prefer to wear my slips a bit more fitted, though they were intended to be somewhat loose fitting. This does not have stretch and does have to pull on over the head. For best fit, compare the measurements below to your own, or to the size chart of a brand that fits you well.

Bust: 38" (40" taut)
Waist: 30"
Hips: 44"
Length Shoulder to Hem: 48"

The measurements allow a bit of flexibility with size, but these are the measurements of the GOWN, not of the body size it is made for, so please allow room for movement and to slip over your head.

The only flaws I have noted are a single and light discoloration on the bust, shown in photos.
