Vintage Black Velvet Party Dress by Claude Bouzon, Size Small. Lovely black velvet dress has a darling 80s silhouette. Short, slightly puffed sleeves, and a slim fit with a gentle mermaid hem. The dress buttons asymmetrically up the left side with black plastic buttons that have rhinestone centers. The waist tie is attached at the right waist and is nice and long. The dress is fully lined and looks really beautiful on!
This is a wonderful dress for the holiday party season. It's semi formal but subtle and versatile. Great for your office holiday parties, larger family get togethers, or even a fancy date night.
The dress is made of silk and rayon. There are two tags for content, but the tags don't differentiate which parts of the dress are made of which fiber. One tag says 100% silk, and one says 100% rayon. I assume one refers to the velvet and the other refers to the lining. The lining does feel like rayon to me (like a slip would feel) but its possible that the silk refers to the trim rather than the velvet. In either case, it all feels luxurious!
