DETAILS: Hand painted neckties are some of my favorites in the world of vintage ties. This one is quite charming - feathers, but no birds or other animals. The fabric is a twill-weave faille, probably rayon. Original color was dark blue, now shifting to an ombre purple that to my eyes offers additional dimension. The feathers and accompanying swirls are done in green, lighter blue, and metallic gold with a little bit of brown.

CONDITION: As mentioned above, the dark blue color of the tie has shifted toward purple, most prominently near the bottom of the 'front". There are no abrupt margins, and it could be considered a sort of patina. No other issues noted - no stains, holes, or tears.
