This dramatic and unique full-length skirt is called a 'hostess skirt'...

It has all the dash and brilliance for a lady hostessing a party, but with one not-so-hidden secret -the sides are completely split open!! So, one would wear another skirt, or, most likely pants underneath for comfort and convenience (after all, a hostess needs to refill drinks and the chip n' dip).

So, this fancy style hostess or maxi skirt is made of a semi-stiff, woven lurex fabric, featuring two tones of metallic gold-on-black diamond print (the photos don't capture the texture well). Skirt is completely lined in acetate fabric. Left side of the ultra wide waistband features double hook & eye closure, and right side seam contains a few tiny snap closures. No labels or makers marks present. Overall condition is excellent with one small rust colored stain at back right skirt and laugh stain at hem (see pics).
