Victorian Petticoat with Pink Silk Ribbon$85.00
This is a sweet little antique cotton petticoat, probably from the 1890s. The petticoat is made of a light but sturdy linen. It’s overall very simple with the sweetest flounce at the hem with a scalloped edge. There are also embroidered polka dots at the top of the flounce and some lovely openwork that line the eyelets that the ribbons are threaded through that tie in a bow on the left side. The petticoat has an adjustable waist with a drawstring that runs through a channel at the top with (about a 5”) placket.
Condition:
The petticoat is in near mint condition with the only thing to note is that the ribbon that is run through is not original and is just made of a bias cut silk strip sewn together. (I could not find a ribbon the right width for this skirt.) This petticoat has been hand laundered and is ready to wear.
