From Raymond Cheung, Made in Hong Kong for the high-end Marco Polo Hotel shop, this tunic length wrap coat is as wearable today as when it was made in the 1970's. This vintage Ultra Suede wrap style coat is desirable for the fabulous deep burgundy red color, the unique cutout style trim, the fact it is in such good condition inside and outside and the classic design.

The collar is shawl style, there are two hidden side pockets, no buttons or snaps, a full lining and a removable self belt. It can be wrapped and tied shut with the belt or worn completely open. Without much of an overlap, when you wear it open, there will not be much open flap in the front.
Ultra Suede is washable, lightweight and warm without bulk. It was the miracle fabric of the 1970's, praised by many high-end designers who made it into everything from hats to handbags to clothing. Women loved the variations made by the designers and adored the fact ultra suede looked like suede except it did not wrinkle and it was washable. One other factor to appreciate is that ultra suede is typically lighter in weight than true suede.
