This is a really beautiful miniature Russian lacquered box, with an intricate hand painted scene and hinged lid. On less than a three inch canvas it depicts a scene from Russian folklore. There is writing along the base, including what looks like possibly the artist name, see close up. Amazing little thing, would make a lovely ring or pill box.

In very good vintage condition, with lovely color and minor signs of wear and age.
