Sassy enough to make you stand out from the crowd, THE SCARLET is a fetching bright red 1960s car coat/pea coat with a mink collar. Made by Deutsch Uptown of Danville, once the finest women's dress shop in Central Illinois, it buttons up the left side and boasts two buttons on each sleeve. Could you wear a fabulous turban hat and huge earrings with this? Absolutely. Should you? Definitely.

There are some flaws to this coat, shown in photos and also noted here: small brown stain on the back of each shoulder, moth nibble on right shoulder, some pilling to the back of the coat, and a missing button that would allow the wearer to button the collar up high on the neck, and a slightly sparse patch on the right side of the collar. Because of these flaws, the coat is priced a bit more gently. Still completely wearable, however. I believe this is a wool/poly blend. Union-made. Fits like a women's L.
