The Chloe: Rare Vintage 60s Mod Double Knit Color-Blocked Dress and Coat Set

THE CHLOE is an absolutely stunning rare authentic designer mod 60s double knit dress and coat set made by Alfred Werber of St Louis. Everything about this set is superb, from its round white buttons to its black, tan, and white color-blocked coat to its cute ascot-like collar detail. The entire outfit has a slightly plisse texture that resembles that of a polo shirt. This is an outfit you would definitely see on Carnaby Street in the 60s, or worn by Twiggy as she dashes out of the Factory and into a cab. Werber outfits were worn at the White House by Jackie Kennedy. This outfit was featured in Mademoiselle at some point.I've even got the original tags from this beauty, which make a lot of big promises about American progress as expressed through polyester. This came from a St. Louis estate that included a lot of fabulous Werber outfits. There are some very slight, hardly noticeable stains to the front of the dress (pictured) that I've removed as much as possible. There is also some crazing to a few of the buttons (pictured). Otherwise, this outfit is in perfect condition. This would make an absolutely gorgeous wedding ensemble for the modern (retro) bride. Closes with zip, buttons, and hook-and-eye.Fits like a women's SM-M.
