THE BARBIE reminds me of the fabulous sleepwear the original Ponytail #1 Barbie had in her trousseau. This is easily the most beautiful piece of vintage sleepwear or lingerie I've seen, especially from the 60s. It's handmade of two layers of chiffon, with a baby pink underlayer and a sheer top layer with a floral garden print that looks almost painted. The puffed sleeves add a bit of fun and playfulness to this garment, as do the superb pink buttons with faux diamond detail. Though this was worn as nightwear at the time, it would totally work as a modern dress for a cocktail or even bridal event.

There are two spots on the interior of the right sleeve where the delicate underlayer has torn at the seam. These aren't visible from the outside.

Fits a women's S-L or XL. Closes with snap and bow at neck, and buttons down the front.
