Printed Cotton Folk Peasant Skirt$148.00
Printed Cotton Folk Peasant Dirndl Skirt
This skirt dates likely dates to the 1930s to 40s possibly European.
Fabricated in a printed plain weave slub woven cotton.
Dirndl skirt construction with the fullness gathered into the waistband.
Fastens at the waist with snaps and hooks and eyes.
Muslin facing on waistband
Handmade with machine stitched seams and hand finished edges on the seam allowance
Hem is finished with a black sateen binding which is hand hemmed. I have left the hem down.
The print does not match up perfectly at the side seam and the fabric does have subtle areas of fade.
The seams do not line up to the side seam.
There are a few flaws to the print that occurred during the printing process which I have shown in photos.
Not at all a typical or mass produced folk skirt. This piece feels very precious. I only wish I had it's actual history.
