Vintage mid-century beautiful wooden lacquerware tray...perfect for serving tea, serving cocktails, or for decorative uses. It is large in size with long, geometric, octagonal shaping. It has a nice heavy weight to it since it is wooden and not plastic. The top side has a beautiful gold leaf textured lacquer base with a hand painted deep red asian bamboo flora motif. If you look closely the bamboo artwork even has small mother of pearl inlays! The artist signed the tray near the bamboo design. The underside is solid black in coloring. It is a striking and unique tray with glam and personality to spare! It would be a great addition to a MCM or Hollywood Regency home.

Condition:
While the textured gold lacquerware finish was intended to appear antiqued and weathered, the tray does have minor signs of use. See photos. Structurally there are no issues, just some chipping of paint (mostly on the underside, but in a few small areas on the top side as well).
