This is quite an unusual piece, a folk art style hand painted tray made in Germany, it is signed "Franz Krempler- Berchtesgaden-pinx", the Franz I believe is the artist and the 2nd part is a town in Germany. The couple in the center look to be from the 14th or 15th century, I'm guessing possibly a royal couple? I has definite signs of ear and age, the faces have lost a lot of the color and detail, probably from sun exposure.

I'm guessing it is from the 1950s or 60s, it is defiantly and that time frame seems about right. It could be older, pre-war perhaps. Even with the damage I found it an entrancing piece. The tray itself is in good shape and the floral boarder is very charming. It could be restored and could be worth the investment.
