Very nice 1960s or 70s Oaxaca rug, wall hanging or blanket. 100% wool, tightly woven, direct from the famous weaving village of Teotitlan del Valle, Oaxaca, Mexico. This is an older traditional pattern, 'Flor de Oaxaca', with very bold graphic and beautiful colors. Achieving the curved lines of the flower petals requires great skill and makes this pattern hard to find. It came from an estate sale where it was used as an accent blanket on a small divan.

It's in very good condition, some random loose threads and mild nubbing. I found no holes or stains. Does have a touch of a musty smell. I would suggest having it dry cleaned. Though a little spritz of Vodka and a few minutes in the dryer on low can do wonders.
