Let us remember, first of all, that these were once high-quality kidskin shoes and served their owner gracefully and well at her wedding. They offer many gorgeous details and insights into life about 120 years ago!

The kidskin leather is still soft and supple, and the structure of the shoes is in place. I love that the tongues have little points (hard to see in photos ... just like those pointy toes, woohoo! Closure was with grosgrain ribbon made of silk, mostly shattered now. Love the wooden Louis heels ...

There is even a chance that someone could wear these ... a little ... Despite some spattering to the leather (perhaps from dancing outside?), they will clean up nicely ... After all, they were worn just one time. All the stitching seems strong and the internal structure is there. If I had narrow feet, I would give them a whirl.

Whether you try them on or not, these give a wonderful insight into a wedding of another era. I bought a boxful of mixed shoes at an estate auction and have learned so much from them.

Heel: 2.25 inches
Length of sole, all the way to pointy toe: about 10.25
Width at widest point before toe: 2.5 (yes, that's right--the leather's even stretched a bit, as if this bride found it narrow too)

So to wear, you would need a very narrow foot ... But I would love to see somebody just try them on!

The listed size is only an ESTIMATE. The length and narrowness make it impossible for me to judge whose foot could Cinderella into these.

From a smoke-free, pet-loving household. These are antiques, and they have a bit of a musty smell, but it is only appropriate and faint.
