Edwardian Lovely White Cotton Skirt/petticoat Train$55.00
This is a lovely simple Edwardian-era skirt/petticoat made of soft thin white cotton. The petticoat fastens at the waistband with two hooks and eyes in the back. The petticoat is a simple A-line silhouette with a small train in the back. There is a small ruffle before the flounce that starts about mid-calf. The hem is decorated with tiny pintucks and a band of embroidered lace. The skirt is wonderfully full and the hem has the turn-of-the-century trumpet silhouette that is just so flouffy and romantic.
Condition:
The skirt is in okay condition overall with a few flaws to note. There are a few small scattered holes in the skirt, the largest is near the hem and is about the size of a pencil eraser the others are pin-hole-sized. There is a spot on the front where the skirt has been repaired and is well done and not super noticeable. The last thing is that the hem has been damaged and even though it was folded over at some point the edge is now unfinished. These flaws are not very noticeable overall and the skirt is still wearable and just needs a little love to bring it back to its full glory. It has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
