Edwardian Edwardian Black Skirt$96.00
Utterly lovely black mourning skirt ( or possibly petticoat, but I think skirt) from the early 1900s, possibly late 1800s. Looks and feels like a silk or silk linen blend. Has tiers at the bottom hem. No label. A rare medium size, I'd say.
Excellent to great vintage condition. Especially for its age. Still very wearable with a smidge of TLC. The skirt itself is in near mint condition for an antique with just a few holes. The only real issues are holes at the top of the waistband where the buttons or hooks were. These will need to be patched but with that done this should hold up quite well. I also suspect that there was trim along the tiers that has been removed or come away but I like the somewhat deconstructed look it gives with those edges, it gives visual interest to me.
Measurements when lying flat. Doubled at waist and hip.
Waist: 27"
Hip: loose but up to about 48"
Waist to bottom hem: 39. 5"
