Stunning true vintage tap shorts, unworn with the original paper tag still sewn on when found. The label was gently removed to treat a small stain, but will be included in the package. The true color of this fabric is most accurately represented in the close up photos of the butterfly embroidery details. They are a soft, pink-orange color, brighter than the muted beige that they appear in the modeled photos.
Though the hips of these shorts can accommodate up to 40” inches once on, they are not recommended for a hip measurement over 37” unless you are planning on altering the closure. This fabric does not stretch, and with all three side buttons undone I could just barely pull these over my hips/butt (37” hip).
There is one very faint spot of discoloration at the front, as shown in the last product image. The stain was treated and just a very pale smudge remains, but will most likely not come out more with further cleaning. The fabric of these shorts has a smooth, silky texture that is most likely rayon, which was known at the time as “artificial silk.”
