This antique French coverlet was handmade and crocheted in France with a lovely open floral and geometric design.   It was previously owned by someone who collected antique crochet textile art and it dates back to the early 1900s.  It was skillfully made from heavy white cotton thread.  The details and craftsmanship are amazing!  It would be perfect as a bed cover, textile art wall hanging, or as a throw for your couch.  Wherever you decide to use it, it will surely add texture and pattern to your home. Crochet is a handwork technique popularized in France in the early 1800s. This technique was used in some of the finest European heirlooms.  And now one of these heirlooms can be yours!

Condition:
It has some discoloration spots throughout that could be removed.  We are leaving it in it's current condition but you may dry clean or spot remove as you wish.  There are no rips or tears and it comes from a smoke free home.
