This skirt is definitely timeless, but it feels particularly of-the-moment, which is why it was so fun to style. Made in the 1990s by Saks Fifth Avenue Private Label, this skirt is features intricate Fortuny-style pleats in lustrous black. I absolutely love the way it falls along the body, and the little lettuce effect at the hem. Plissé skirts like this are so flattering because the fabric moves with the body's curves without clinging, and the vertical line of the pleats is very lengthening. With elastic in the waist, this piece can fit a range of sizes, and can be worn lower on the hips or higher on the waist— so versatile! Material not listed, but it is a synthetic fabric which has been chemically manipulated for the pleated texture. The corset top and pendant pictured are also available.
Measurements: *Marked a size 8; shown unclipped on a size small/will be more fitted on a size medium or larger. The waist is elastic and the elastic so there is flexibility.

Hips: 47" with some additional stretch
Length: 43" (could be hemmed from the waist if needed)
