Hilo Hattie also reminds me of the islands back when I went to college there at UNH-Manoa. Yep, I went there for one whole blissful year. and yes, the Marine Biology let us out early when the surf was good and yes, he wore flip flops to class and a shirt very much like this one.

People on the Hawaiian Islands wear these bright, beautiful, bold florals all the time—definitely on Aloha Fridays. Did you know that Aloha Fridays started in 1966 in Hawaii and , then spread to California and beyond until it became know around the globe as "Casual Fridays"?
