Vintage Crew Neck Sweater, 1980s Pastel Floral Sweater in an Oversized Silhouette and Shabby Floral Design
This is a really beautiful sweater from the 1980s. There are no tags in this, but it feels like a wool blend and has a boxy fit. The sleeves have the same floral shield design as the front, so its a large pattern and shows really nicely when worn.
The flowers are pink, yellow, and blue; with some aqua and mint leaves; all in a gray and taupe filigree shape.
The 80s were a time of oversized fits, and this has the classic boxy shape and dropped sleeve construction that those sweaters would have. The waistband is knit a bit tighter so the sweater doesn't just hang completely loose. I really love this one, its a classic beauty. Almost like a feminine fishermans sweater. Perfect cottagecore style!
The only condition issue is a bit of discoloration at one shoulder, shown in photos.
This fits like an oversized small or a size medium. I wear a small top and a medium bottom, and for me, the only issue was that the waistband was a little snug at my hips if I wanted to wear the sweater pulled down a bit. If you are going to leave the waistband at your waist, this may fit fine on a size large as well.
