This is one of Mary McFadden's vintage plissè evening dresses in the style of Mariano Fortuny's famous Delphos pleated dresses that he originated in the early 20th century. Mcfadden's version is permanently pleated polyester fabric in a pale robin's egg blue color. The dress has tiered puffy sleeves and comes with a long tie belt encased in fine gold braid. McFadden's plisse dresses have become rare and the prices are getting very high - often in the thousands of dollars - but we're fortunate to be able to hold the price on this dress down for you (similar dresses to this one are always missing the belt). Labeled US size 12. However, the fabric is extremely stretchy, and I am confident recommending the dress for sizes 12 and 14.*
