We were big Rockabilly and 50's elegance fans in the 80's and nineties, getting dressed up for art openings and receptions, with crinolines and tux jackets. We were elected the most stylish couple in Buffalo, one year! hahahaha. My husband found these shoes somewhere...they may have been previously owned, but he also bought a lot of items from men's shops that were going out of business. We were always on the look out for pointy shoes, but these were close enough, and the lacing detail is pretty special. He wore these a few times, but they still have some good years ahead. I can't find any labels or anything other than the 40 on the bottom. leather lined, and top is leather, but it has a rubber sole, so I am just guessing about their age. There is a scratch on the top of one that I did not try to cover up in the photos. It can be filled in, but side lighting will always show the flaw, I think. Maybe file it down? A good shoe repairman may have the answer. My husband wore 10. 5 size shoes back then. The heels have almost NO wear. Insides are clean. the shoe measures 11 inches long, not including the black rubber "bumper". Width looks like 4 inches, again, without the "bumper". Despite the wear, this is still a handsome and distinctive shoe.
