Love buttons? Or Patrick Kelly? Wear a 'nod' to both with this fun little skirt!
High fashion often trickles down to mainstream wear, and this skirt is a fun little example of that. Patrick Kelly spoke often of his Grandmother's influence on his design aesthetic, especially her love for vivid buttons, which ended up being one of his signatures. I believe that this skirt is perhaps from that time, when, colorful buttons in fashion was a trend. (My own personal love of buttons, however, will always gravitate me toward them!!) This slightly above-the-knee length skirt is made from a light to medium weight rayon weave, and features the aforementioned colorful button print. The silhouette is sarong-inspired, with the front piece overlapping, closing with a hook + eye closure, and then the tip of the top fabric is meant to be tucked into a thin belt loop at the inner waist. No lining or pockets. The labels read 'KGR, made in U.S.A., size 8 and 100% rayon'. Overall condition is very good to excellent, with light signs of wear throughout and one small area of scratched fabric surface at right hip -please review photographs for full details.
