Detailed measurements:Bust - 38 inchesWaist - 40 inchesBody Length - 56 inchesThe prettiest flapper dress I've seen that wasn't made in the 1920s! Judith Ann Creations was known for making high-quality historical reproductions with excellent materials, and this dress is an example of just that. Two layers of gauzy black silk--nice and floaty--are the perfect background for a geometric design of matte silver sequins and glittery glass bugle beads. Look closer and you'll spot black seed beads, and clear-and-silver seed beads that swing in little dangles from clusters of the sequins and end in faux pearls. And that hem! several layers of triangular shapes, plus hanging beads, swish beautifully around your legs as you walk. This isn't one of those polyester flapper dresses to buy for Halloween and then discard; this is a dress to keep and wear for just about any good occasion.Comes with a strip of ornamented fabric that I personally believe should not be worn as a belt, as it will break up the gorgeous design. My mannequin is wearing it on her head as a headband or--her favorite--at her neck as a little scarf. This is a 1990s size Medium, and it is meant to be worn a bit loosely. Measurementsbust, underarm to underarm: 38 waist: about 40hips: basically freetotal length from shoulder to the lowest point of the dagger-ruffles on the skirt: 56I cannot find any flaws on this gorgeous dress. Sure, some sequins aren't lying perfectly smoothly right now, but that happens with brand-new dresses as well.Take her dancing ... for an early autumn walk ... or lie on your favorite sofa and read The Great Gatsby.
