Dorothy Bullitt women’s green and white cotton or cotton-blend maxi-dress is very wearable. Great for a beach vacation or cruise, summer wedding, dinner on a restaurant patio, or just to wear around town. Features an asymmetrical neckline with narrow ruffled trim that continues down the side and is finished with a hand-formed dimensional rose (which can be easily detached if you like). Applied floral embroidered trim edges the ruffle. The dress is a nearly straight column shape, with bit of a nip-in at the waist and a slit from the rose to the hem for ease of walking. Princess seaming and small bust darts in front, long shaping darts in back. Nylon back zipper. Fully lined.
*The Dorothy Bullitt label originated in 1916 in New Jersey, where Bullitt and her sister hand-knitted the sweaters the store sold. As the business grew and thrived, more stores were opened in the greater Philadelphia area. The business closed in 1990.
