1970s Gloria Vanderbilt for Murjani purple corduroy skirt. This duo is credited with designing the first denim label ‘for women’. It launched in 1976 and their jeans were priced 4 times as much as a pair of Levis. Mohan Murjani believed that they could take jeans from being utilitarian to high end, sexy denim (‘should fit like the skin on a grape’) and that they could be paired with a fur coat - a man after my heart, there is no better way to wear fur!!! This skirt is constructed of cotton corduroy, made in Hong Kong and has a front zipper and button, pockets, back pocket with flap and button, back slit. Excellent condition and fits like a small.
Measurements:
waist 26
