70s Light Wash Brushed Denim Studded 70s Jean Jacket$65.00
This rock-star-style, silver metal studded denim jacket from the 70s has a secret: it was restyled/altered in the 80s to make it fit a larger size. The original owner loved this jacket so much that she harvested fabric from another denim item in her closet to add panels of fabric from under the arms to the hem, under the arms to the sleeve cuffs, at each wrist, and at the waistband. (The extra fabric is most easy to see in the shots of the jacket turned inside out, since it is a different shade of blue.) In its current incarnation, the jacket has a somewhat blouson fit, with an invented pleat from each underarm to the hem, and from each underarm to the sleeve cuffs. The shiny silver metal studs appear all present, including some extra ones trimming the triangular panels inset at the back of each cuff. The collar, snap-closed patch pockets, snap closures down the front of the jacket, and main front and back panels are all unaltered. In very good condition, the jacket has a light mark on each piece of denim fabric that inserted into the pleats under the arms, unlikely to be noticed when it is worn (see photos). There is also some discoloration around the inside of the collar, and a few tiny marks near the left back waistband. The light wash, brushed denim fabric is a soft, medium-weight cotton—great for layering in fall or spring!
