What a dramatic design using large scale poppies and hand printed in bright pink & bronze on front and back. This 1960s hostess skirt designed by Alfred Shaheen and is a full-length maxi with a side slit. Made in linen blended fabric with an organic hand/feel. This pattern has been hand printed in Hawaii and is as vivid as the day it was made! Alfred Shaheen was a fabric designer and stylist. His fabrics were often sold to accompany Home Sew Patterns and this design was Hostess Skirt #101. Such is the reason why each garment uses his limited run fabrics with slight variations in the detailing.

High Quality pigment printing gives sharp resolution to the floral, his signature is at the bottom and there is a layer of bronze metallic printed over the leaves for extra depth. High waisted maxi silhouette with 21" side slit at hem. 1. 5" waistband with button closure and 8" side zipper. No tags but inside hem is printed with "Alfred Shaheen Hand printed in Hawaii".
