I usually don't sell items that are this imperfect, but due to the rarity, I feel compelled to find them a good home, maybe in a costume dept. somewhere. Crowd scenes where lots of people need to be dressed in a certain era, do not require perfection, and I sell to a lot of entertainment entities. These are a pair of colorful ,small sized clam diggers, made of sturdy cotton sailcloth, by COKESBURY. The label graphics make me think they are early 60's . I am concentrating on the flaws, so you know what is needed, if you intend to restore them. A tear mended with a patch that has held for numerous washes; a small rip that a few stitches are closing, and a stain on the rear left cheek, that bleaching did NOT remove. Also, in places you will see there is a feint "ground in" darkening that bleach did not remove. So those are the flaws. The bonus is that these are rare, comfortable, and can be worn for another 60 years without much change, as they have been built to last, of thick, durable sail cloth. A loose fitted Hawaiian shirt will cover all the flaws, so enjoy! One nice deep pocket! Go by measurements. A size 15 in the 60s is more like a modern 6! So ALWAYS go by what the tape measure tells you!
