60s Mid-century Iridescentbutterfly Shaped Dishes

Vintage 5 piece blue and copper iridescent carnival glass dining set, shaped like butterflies by Carnival Glass Company. This set includes: 1 large serving / display butterfly dish and 4 smaller butterfly dishes. These ultra glamorous mid century pieces are carnival glass pieces. Carnival glass is moulded or pressed glass to which an iridescent surface shimmer has been applied. They are all in the eye catching "fenton" color way which is a glowing blue with an iridescent finish in a peach and copper tone towards the centers. This was one of the most popular and collectible colors produced by Carnival Glass. They were produced by The Imperial Glass Company which was founded in 1901 by Edward Muhleman and made handmade glasswares that were sold worldwide, most commonly pressed glass patterns. The factory operated until its closure in 1984. This set shimmers in the light and would make for a wonderful and versatile dining set.

Condition: Overall the condition is fabulous. There are not chips or cracks to the glass.
