60s Green Embroidered Shift Dress and Matching Coat Set.$310.00
Words and photos truly cannot express the level of craftsmanship that resides in this remarkable Mid Century- 1960's shift dress and matching coat set.
The dress is a classic sleeveless shift in a rich sage green raw silk. Open work floral embroidery in shades of green can be found at the neckline and at the faux pocket epaulets. Darts at the bust for shaping. Relaxed fit in the waist and more fitted through the hips. Metal zipper at the back. Fully lined in green silk. Timeless and the apex of elegance.
Now onto the coat- The open work embroidered collar is exceptional. You will see the same beautiful embroidery across the wide bracelet length sleeves, at the front faux pocket epaulets and appliquéd on the large covered buttons. The coat has a fairly stright shape and flares just a bit at the hips. The coat is also fully lined in green silk and there is incredible vermicelli quilting embroidery at the inside lining. There are pockets at the hips of the coat. There is also a pocket on the inside of the jacket
This is a bespoke, handmade and numbered garment.
