Lilly Pulitzer
60s A-Line Pink and Green Floral Skirt Women's Small To Medium Pockets and Lace Above Knee Summer Skirt by Lilly Pulitzer$59.00
This darling little sporty skirt is a classic made from The Lilly: Sportswear Division. The fabric is a beautiful lightweight cotton feel. The fabric is a great quality and the skirt is well made! The colors are vibrant and I love the green and pink together. The floral design is fun and feels like a spring or summer day!
The skirt has two pockets in the front that have a crochet lace sewn on that continues down the front of the skirt. Super cute and adds a fun detail! The right pocket has a tiny bit of yellowing at the top, but not really noticeable. The camera could not pick it up.
This company was founded back in the 1950s, but has had a revival more recently. Based on the size (Vintage size 12), the tag, the stitching, the zipper this is a skirt from last century : 1960s or early 70s.
After reading up about the company it has a fun story. Her clothing is usually bright with a floral pattern. She had a fruit juice stand and was always messing her dresses up, so she asked someone to make her a dress that wouldn't show the juice stains. Thus all the bright fun designs!
